The vaccination of 5-11-year-olds started on 17 January 2022. There are 476,000 children between ages 5-11 who became eligible to get their first dose from this date, and their second dose at least eight weeks later.

Note: There is a change in policy from 16 September 2022: if a child was 11 when first vaccinated, then turns 12 before their second vaccination, the second vaccination can use the adult Comirnaty. This is a change from previous advice. Resources will be updated soon.

You can access the relevant course on our learning management system: Paediatric COVID-19 Vaccinator Education Course (Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine). You just need to log in.
